This condition may result in MIL illumination and DTC’s stored in fault memory. Improved fuel pressure sensor -G410- (low pressure side). Requirements: Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria: Vehicle must show the applicable RVUTB code open in ElsaWeb on the day of the repair. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty. Update must be performed prior to expiration date listed in this technical bulletin.
Inspect the fuel pressure sensor –G410- (low pressure side) mounted on the high pressure pump for the part number, see Repair Manual Group 24 in ElsaWeb. If the part number of the fuel pressure sensor is 06E 906 051E or J, replace the fuel pressure sensor with updated part number 06E 906 051K. If part number 06E 906 051K is installed, no replacement is necessary. To prevent damage to engine cover, engine cover stops must be removed in the sequence as shown. Fuel pressure sensor –G410- (low pressure side) Installation torque: 15 Nm, 2.0L TFSI engine 22 Nm, 4.2 V8 FSI engine.
