SAAB 9-3 AERO CONVERTIBLE 2.0 LITRE TURBOCHARGED 4 CYLINDER AUTOMATIC

Download Free SAAB 9-3 AERO Convertible 2.0 Litre Turbocharged 4 cylinder Automatic.pdf With the high performance 9-3 Viggen no longer available to right hand drive markets, Saab has extensively upgraded the 9-3 Aero series and at the same time, introduced a range of improvements across the whole 9-3 model range. Externally, the 9-3 Aero gets the same front spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper that were part of the Viggen styling kit, and it gains newlydesigned 17 inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Aero’s front seats are also from the Viggen, and compared to the standard seats, have extra padding for better lateral and thigh support. All three Aero models – the Coupe, Sedan and Convertible (tested) – are now equipped with traction control and this is a welcome move, given the amount of power going through the front wheels.

Full leather trim is now featured on all 9-3s and indeed, on every Saab model sold in Australia. An eight-function trip computer has also been made a standard item on all new Saabs. Other changes in the latest 9-3 range include a new ‘Generation IV’ light pressure turbo engine for the S models, 16 inch alloy wheels for the S Convertible and 15 inch alloys for the S sedan (it previously had steel wheels). There are new Isofix child seat mounting points in the Coupe and Sedan, a more compact key with integrated remote control and two new body colours. Prices on the 2001 model year 9-3 Series have risen between $1,015 and $3,845, however Saab says that the value of specification increases is more than double that – and in some cases, almost quadruple the price rise.

The 9-3 Aero automatic Convertible tested is priced at $85,000, with the manual version costing $82,900. The manual Aero 9-3 Sedan costs $59,900 and the Aero 9-3 manual Coupe,
$57,900. Add $2,100 for automatic on these two. Equipment levels are comprehensive in the 9-3 Aero range. Safety and security items include dual front airbags, front side airbags, ‘active’ head restraints, seat belt pre-tensioners, anti-theft alarm, immobiliser, deadlocking, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution, and the previously mentioned traction control. Other items include climate control air conditioning, electrically operated hood, power operated windows and exterior mirrors (the mirrors are also heated), six-speaker stereo with six stack CD changer, headlamp wiper/washers, reach adjustable steering wheel and aerial installed for mobile phone.
