CANON G11 MANUAL

High-sensitivity 10.0-megapixel sensor, high-quality wide-angle zoom lens and 7.11-inch (2.8-inch) vari-angle LCD: the Canon PowerShot G11 offers outstanding picture quality and professional versatility. The new high-sensitivity CCD sensor requires a significantly lower light quantity for an outstanding, really low-noise image quality ideal for excellent photos even in difficult light conditions. Even recordings with a high ISO setting show a large dynamic range and an extremely low noise. The 28mm wide-angle lens has a 5x optical zoom so it fits in the picture. The optical image stabilizer minimizes camera shake and ensures excellent picture quality over the entire zoom range.

The 7,11 cm (2,8 inch) PureColor II VA LCD (461,000 pixels) is rotatable and swivels - this is simply ideal for unusual shooting positions. With Night Mode and QuickBright functions, the display provides a detailed image check even in low light conditions. An optical viewfinder offers additional possibilities for the image composition. The combination of Canon's highly sensitive image sensor and DIGIC 4 processor reduces noise and high ISO sensitivity. This is ideal for brilliant photos at full resolution in the ISO 3.200 setting or in the low light mode (2.5 megapixels) in low light conditions with ISO 12.800.

With a full manual control mode, the Canon PowerShot G11 offers a lot of creative freedom for creative experimentation. It allows the RAW recording with which you have the free hand for the subsequent image processing. The plus for professional photographers: the Canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP) is included for a smooth professional workflow. Smart AUTO analyzes the brightness, contrast, distance, color and movement of the subject. The intelligent Scene Detection technology selects the best settings for optimal images from 22 motifs. The 27 special shooting modes include QuickShot and VGA movie clips.

The Face Detection technology is used for a great number of people. It includes a self-timer with face detection and allows for facial selection and tracking, which automatically aligns the camera settings to a selected person. The MotionDetection technology and Servo AF / AE provide precise focus and exposure for moving subjects. When recording and playback, i-Contrast optimizes the dynamic range of a subject in such a way that over-exposure in bright areas is compensated and shadow areas are still imaged in detail. The result: natural shots with the best possible contrast.

The Canon PowerShot G11 is, of course, equipped with an HDMI ™ output for an HDMI mini plug. This allows you to view the recordings without compromising quality on a compatible HDTV. The wide range of optional accessories available in the market includes Speedlite flash units, Canon flash accessories, a teleconverter, an underwater housing and a camera case.
